Johnny Knoxville and his band of maniacs perform a variety of stunts and gross-out gags on the big screen for the first time. With Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O, Chris Pontius. Well, in this case, I think you know if you're going to be a fan of "Jackass" or not, because if you're thinking about renting it, you probably already know what to expect. Jackass: The Movie: Directed by Jeff Tremaine. With most films I review, I feel it's a good idea to recommend movies to people and tell them if it's their type of film. I am not going to say "see this movie" or "don't see this movie". No stunt has ever gone this far and probably never will again. This stunt is not only really ballsy, and possibly too soon after 9/11 to be considered funny by most people, but wait until you see where it goes from there.
I don't want to give the thing away, but here's the premise: a man dressed up as a stereotypical terrorist (turban, beard and even explosives strapped to his chest) gets in a taxi and asks to go to the airport. (Allegedly, much of this film was inspired by "Looney Tunes" - and I will say this was far more entertaining than any of those cartoons.) The best stunt by far was "Terror Taxi".
Some of the rocket-powered wheelchairs and shopping carts were a nice touch. Follow us on Facebook to see when Jackass: The Lost Tapes becomes available for online streaming. Some of the stunts here were very clever. But I can overlook this (especially because Bunny the Lifeguard shows up). Inside look at Jackass: The Lost Tapes stunts - All stunts from this DVD. End credits montage - Outtakes and bonus segments. 'Hi, Im Johnny Knoxville' - Every show open from the entire series. It includes several stunts that werent included in the Jackass Volumes. The only thing this film really lacked for me was Party Boy, because I love seeing Party Boy dancing to his theme song. Jackass: The Lost Tapes was released in 2009 prior to Jackass 3D coming out in the cinema. Why? Because there is a better flow to this one with less repetition. 30 minutes of never-aired content pulled from the Jackass vaults.

80 minutes of classic Jackass TV segments that have never been released on DVD, including the one that started it all: Johnny Knoxville s Self-Defence Test Approx. I liked it more, as have pretty much everyone I spoke with. Fill in the gaps of the Jackass TV collection with the Lost Tapes Featuring: Approx. But if you liked the show and the movie, I am willing to bet you'll like the sequel even more. You know what it is: violence, nudity, bodily fluids. If you're the type of person who didn't like "Jackass" (the show or the movie), I have no idea why you'd watch "Jackass 2". Nobody dies, but there is plenty of bodily injury to go around. After a couple of piss funny failed attempts at keeping the fast 50 vertical he finally hits the ramp, the fact that he even got that far outweighs how far he managed to pull the flip around.Īllan Cooke and David "Psycho" Halford represent the BMXers, they get towed in to a huge kicker ramp originally to attempt record distance jumping. How do you describe the plot of a "Jackass" film? A group of guys (including Bam Margera and Johnny Knoxville) do a variety of stupid stunts that could seriously injure or kill them. Knoxville was bighting at the bit to get in amongst the action and didn't let the fact that he can't ride a motorbike get in the way.
In the same session we see Spike Jonez trying a backflip on a fast 50 into the same foam pit. Jeff Schneider attempts to pull off a backflip into a foam pit on a Harley not unlike the bike that Evel used to use. Well that is until Knoxville pushed things a little too far, more about that later. But how does this star studded cast sound? Travis Pastrana, Trigger Gumm, Scott Palmer, Allan Cooke, David "Psycho" Halford, Jeff Schneider, even hollywoods own Spike Jonez makes an appearance and it's hard to forget Midget Mike who steals the show. Jackass presents: Mat Hoffman's tribute to Evel KnievelOk so here's the deal, Mat Hoffman was a friend of Evel Knievel's so to pay tribute to his friend and the legend that inspired a generation of extreme sports enthusiasts Mat pull together a motley crew of absolute lunatics, we've already mentioned Knoxville. Mat Hoffman is a great presenter, but I don't think the DVD would be quite the same without Knoxville's "f*&k it, I'll try anything" attitude.
That said Knoxville does add to the entertainment. It's less of the sort of Jackass antics that we have come to expect and a lot more of a dedication to a legend. Well it's not the entire Jackass crew, really it's just Johnny Knoxville, the king of the crazies. Ok let's think just for a minute, the name of the DVD "Jackass presents: Mat Hoffman's Tribute To Evel Knievel" conjures up all sorts of chaos and carnage, or maybe that's the Jackass involvement.
